  A free of charge, fully searchable electronic dictionary of the French language used in Britain between 1066 and mid-15 th century. Alongside literary texts, the AND cites a vast variety of chronicles, administrative and scientific sources. The AND is an on-going project and the entries are updated daily.
  
  The AND is an invaluable research tool for anyone interested in medieval England, the history of French and English languages, medieval linguistics and multilingualism.

  Within the context of the AND project, a new AHRC-funded 12-months project kicked off in February 2007 at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. The project concentrates on the vocabulary of the unpublished Anglo-Norman documents of SC8 collection of the National Archives (Ancient Petitions) that will be incorporated in the AND.
